Bend Warehouse Operations Manager


Bigfoot Beverages Bend is recruiting for a Warehouse Operations Manager. The Warehouse Operations Manager will oversee and coordinate the daily warehouse operations, inventory control and supervision of Warehouse personnel to ensure efficiency, productivity and consistent execution.  Accountabilities include receiving, storage and distribution of product from suppliers, ensuring accurate and consistent inventory levels to meet distribution needs, improve accuracy and streamline processes and procedures. Problem solve with other department managers around inventory, transportation and logistics concerns.  Works closely and has exceptional communication with the General Manager, co-managers and direct reports. This is a full-time, exempt level position.  The schedule is Monday through Friday with some weekend work as necessary. This will include 40 plus hours weekly and shift start time varies based on daily need.

  1. Maintain a personnel structure and qualified staff; involvement in recruitment, retention and performance management.  Interviews and recommends applicants for hire.
  2. Provide motivational leadership for employee relations and problem resolution through effective communication, coaching, training and development.  Ensure personnel are in a position for success both for the individual and the company.
  3. Strategic planning and execution to enhance profitability, productivity and efficiency throughout the Warehouse.
  4. Monitor performance of the Warehouse to ensure accuracy, time management, cleanliness and organization of company product. Completes performance management and documentation when necessary.
  5. Maintain knowledge of current product inventory through consistent communication with the Warehouse.  Provides Sales Team with updated information and notice of new inventory items.
  6. Coordinate trucking logistics between Bend Warehouse and various suppliers to ensure timely and efficient transportation of product.
  7. Monitor the unloading of all materials into the warehouse; ensures materials are organized for counting and inspection for daily inventory; ensures receiving reports accurately report material received.
  8. Research, propose and assist with the improvement of warehouse operations and processes related to inventory.
  9. Monitors and makes adjustments to manage labor budget, overtime and line items.
  10. Oversee and coordinate company uniforms with a current personnel list, accurate uniform inventory and updated sizing.
  11. Provide support and troubleshoot IT issues as they arise.  Partner with the IT Department to submit trouble tickets when necessary. 
  12. Communication with General Manager on a regular basis on major issues and strategic planning.
  13. Partner with HR to ensure compliance and consistency with company policies, procedures, proper documentation and other related concerns.

Required Education and Experience

  1. B.S. or B.A. degree in business, sales and marketing, accounting or related field; or high school diploma or GED with equivalent experience.
  2. Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in inventory, route delivery, or warehouse, with minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience managing teams and individuals, coaching and developing staff.
  3. Must have progressively responsible experience managing budgets, labor and expenses.

 

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Beverage industry experience.
  2. Warehouse Operations experience.
