Eugene Graphic Designer


Bigfoot Beverages of Eugene is recruiting for a Graphic Designer position. The Graphic Designer will create artwork and graphics for requested design jobs with close attention to style guides and brand guardrails.  This position will be responsible for the timely and accurate completion of assigned design jobs through communication with department managers, producing design proofs and utilizing industry-specific software to organize jobs by Company location and department.  Works closely and has exceptional communication with the Graphic Design Lead and department managers.This is a non-exempt hourly position that will work  Monday through Friday with a 9:00 am - 5:00 pm schedule.  Wage is dependent upon experience. 

 

 

Essential Functions

  1. Process design jobs assigned by the Graphic Design Lead. Ensure that artwork and graphics follow style guides and brand guardrails for each of the Company’s brands.
  2. Utilize industry-specific software for internal organization and line-up of design projects for each Company location and department.
  3. Plan and set-up artwork for promotional tags and signage for all relevant Company products.
  4. Create and update templates for quickly printed items.
  5. Communicates design proofs with department managers.  Completes edits, updates and tweaks as necessary before sending to print.
  6. Create original and custom designs for accounts, suppliers, special events and company functions.  Maintain customer relationships through prompt communication and collaboration with applicable management or marketing department.
  7. Download and update new design materials from distributed brand
  8. Work closely and communicate with marketing departments internally and externally to maintain brand integrity.
  9. Assist with the maintenance of the Company website via web based editing software.  Maintain navigation bars, menus, dropdown, company product, photos and descriptions.
  10. Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories.
  11. Act as support and back up for Graphic Design Lead as necessary for vacation, sick time or other events.  Duties include but are not limited to maintain the internal Communication Boards, monitor inventory of materials, ordering business cards, process, manage and disseminate design jobs.
  12. Maintain technical knowledge and keep current with the latest trends by attending design workshops and reviewing professional publications.
  13. Perform graphic finishing duties and tasks as necessary based upon deadlines and workload.
  14. Observe company safety guidelines and practices in every phase of work.  Report all hazardous conditions, safety concerns, injuries, incidents or property damage to your manager.
  15. Regular and reliable attendance.

 

Work Environment

This job operates primarily in an office setting with occasional warehouse exposure. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, photocopiers, large/small format printers, filing cabinets, and office phones.

 

Required Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Design, Visual Arts or related field; or high school diploma or GED with equivalent experience.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in Adobe Creative Suite and design experience in an in-house creative department or firm.

 

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Graphic production process experience
  2. Knowledge of printing procedures
  3. Knowledge of HTML
